2016 Campus Sustainability Conference

 

When: Saturday, March 12th 2016, 10am-5pm 

 

Where: Trent University, Peterborough, Ontario

 

Who: Students, active student groups, community organizations, community members, faculty, or individuals with a passion or involvement in campus sustainability are all welcome at our conference.

 

Details: The 2016 Campus Sustainability Conference has FREE admission including refreshments and a vegetarian catered lunch from local food producers! Join us for an exciting day of presentations, tours of innovative eco-facilities on our campus and interactive workshops led by over 10 student groups from University of Waterloo, Laurier University, Fleming College and our own Trent University sustainability champions! As well, browse a poster display from finalists of our concurrently running “Green Your Campus Competition” where students are able to submit a project idea to improve campus sustainability and have it funded up to $5000. Trent University has been repeatedly identified as a leader in campus sustainability. We welcome you to come experience our campus and share the work being undertaken at your institution, hear about the projects going on at Trent and engage in a productive discourse about campus sustainability. Topics include on-campus food production, bee-keeping on campus, indigenous perspectives on sustainability, re-investment options, and incorporating sustainability into education.
